ATC T-Camp 2026 Counselor/Teamer Positions
Aggie Transition Camps Mission Statement: Aggie Transition Camps exists to successfully transition new students into the Aggie Family.

Aggie Transition Camps (ATC) is a sponsored student organization that is responsible for successfully transitioning new Aggies to Texas A&M University through two programs: Howdy Camp that takes place every January, and T-Camp that takes place every August.
Counselor Position Description:
The job of a counselor is to be a resource to camp participants through creating/performing informational skits and presentations that provide the most welcoming and inclusive environment for new Aggies into the Aggie Family. They will lead small discussion groups of approx. 8-10 participants within their assigned camp and develop genuine interactions and bond with and amongst their campers. In addition to the training/preparation that they must attend to equip themselves for camp, they will also plan opportunities to continue interacting with the camp participants, called “Continuity Events”. They will coordinate with their fellow Counselors and Co-Chairs to provide opportunities to continue in the participant's adjustment to their time here in Aggieland. For many incoming students, Aggie Transition Camps’ programs will be their first impression of the Aggie Family. The job of those involved in ATC is to welcome incoming students to Texas A&M and aid in their transition. Counselors will make T-Camp 2026 successful through leadership, dedication, commitment, and teamwork. This commitment will be fulfilled with successes and challenges, and it will provide many opportunities for growth as a person and a leader.
Teamer Position Description:
The job of a Teamer is to lead yells, tell fables, and create/perform skits that teach campers about the Traditions and History of Texas A&M University. They are the keepers of Tradition for ATC and show campers how special our wonderful university is. Additionally, they help provide support and create bonds with their individual camps. They are an extra hand for the IC Co-Chairs and help mentor Counselors so they can be successful in their duty to support Campers. Along with training, Teamers will also work with their Co-Chairs in meetings and work days, facilitate team building/forming of bonding within the camps, as well as uphold ATC and Texas A&M University Student Rules and Regulations. Team also is responsible for various logistical pieces of camp including camp set-up/teardown, transportation transitions, luggage loading/unloading at camp, and other responsibilities at the discretion of Director Staff. For many incoming students, Aggie Transition Camps’ programs will be their first impression of the Aggie Family. By filling out and submitting this application you agree to be in attendance for all mandatory dates and, if necessary, communicate all conflicts to the ATC Advisors, Executive Director, and fellow Assistant Directors if unable to attend.
