Staff Assistant
The Big Event is an annual single-day service project where the students of Texas A&M come together to say thank you to the residents of the Bryan-College Station communities for their continued support of the university and student life. Within the organization, there are three kinds of leadership roles: the executive staff, committee members, and staff assistants. This application is for staff assistants. Overall, they:
- attend a bi-weekly meeting @7:00 pm on Tuesdays
- go on 15 to 20 job checks with their partner throughout the fall/spring semester
- help with various roles on the day-of (March 21, 2026)
- report to their specific sub- committee (for example, a member of the Operations committee)
- pay dues of $30 (scholarships are available)
- hold their position from the date of selection until April 30
Our informationals are Thursday, September 18 at 8:30 PM in MSC 2500, Monday, September 22th at 5:30 PM in MSC 2500, and Wednesday, September 24th at 7:00 PM in MSC 2500.
