Committee Member
The Big Event is an annual single-day service project where the students of Texas A&M come together to say thank you to the residents of the Bryan-College Station communities for their continued support of the university and student life. Within the organization, there are three kinds of leadership roles: the executive staff, committee members, and staff assistants. This application is for committee members, who supplement the efforts of exec in various projects. They also oversee a group of staff assistants. Overall, they:
- attend a weekly meeting @7:00 pm on Tuesdays
- hold a weekly office hour
- report to their specific committee (for example, Operations)
- supervise their staff and assist with job checks as needed
- pay dues of $25 (scholarships are available)
- hold their position from the date of selection until April 30
