Join DMS to learn more about this time‑honored tradition and stand with the Aggie community in remembrance. We’ll explore what Silver Taps is, its history, and the appropriate etiquette to help you prepare for the event.
We’ll visit the Flag Room to view reflections honoring the students being remembered, and then, as a group, we’ll head to Academic Plaza at 10:15 PM to quietly honor our fellow Aggies.
Department of Multicultural Services
The Department of Multicultural Services (DMS), located in the Memorial Student Center (MSC), provides students with opportunities for intentional engagement and development. We recognize each student brings unique experiences, goals, values, and ways of navigating the world. Through our focus on transition, persistence, and skill development, DMS supports students in becoming and remaining actively engaged in the intellectual and social life of the university which strengthens their capacity to navigate challenge, collaborate effectively, and succeed on campus and beyond.
Whether students are just beginning their college journey, working to stay on track, or seeking to grow their skills, DMS offers programs and experiences that help them adjust, connect, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. From transition support to workshops and applied learning opportunities, our work is centered on fostering meaningful engagement, building confidence, sustaining motivation, and supporting students as they thrive within the Aggie community.
