Description
Fiesta with LatiLo is a tabling event celebrating the diversity of Latin American and Hispanic cultures. Each participating student organization will represent a different country, offering attendees an interactive experience filled with cultural displays, traditional foods, and engaging activities. Through this event, students will have the opportunity to learn about the unique traditions, histories, and contributions of Latin America while fostering a stronger sense of community and cultural pride.
The purpose of Fiesta with LatiLo is to create an inclusive and engaging space where students can explore the rich cultures of Latin America. By collaborating with various student organizations, the event aims to:
- educate attendees on the cultural diversity within Latin America and Hispanic communities
- strengthen cultural awareness and appreciation through interactive activities
- provide a space for student organizations to showcase their heritage and connect with the broader campus community
- encourage cross-cultural dialogue and engagement in a fun and festive atmosphere
Fiesta with LatiLo will serve as a bridge for students to celebrate their roots, discover new cultures, and build meaningful connections within the university.
Latino Logradores
Latino Logradores (translation is Latino Achievers) is a first year program which supports the success of Latinx students at Texas A&M University by providing mentorship, a family atmosphere, transition from high school to college (or any other educational level), and resources that help them thrive in a college environment. This program is a connection to the Latinx Familia on Texas A&M Campus where first-year students can build long-lasting relationships, explore their culture, build networks, feel empowered, develop holistically, and be a service to the local community.
