MSC ALOT Freshman Member
Howdy! Thank you for showing interest in MSC ALOT. As an organization devoted to freshman leadership development, we offer members opportunities that will be beneficial during and beyond their college careers.
What is MSC Aggie Leaders of Tomorrow?
MSC ALOT is a freshman leadership organization within the Memorial Student Center. It is one of the oldest FLOs at Texas A&M, established in 1991. The purpose of MSC ALOT is to provide programs and service opportunities for freshmen that foster leadership and personal growth for students at Texas A&M.
MSC ALOT is composed of six subcommittees, allowing members to serve the organization, campus, and community through hands-on experience and leadership opportunities.
MSC ALOT also splits freshmen members into “families,” consisting of about 7-8 other freshmen and two sophomore group leaders. On top of that, MSC ALOT provides a “Big” that serves as another mentor and friend. The families and Bigs serve to create a tight-knit social community within MSC ALOT, giving freshmen many opportunities to grow and bond throughout the year.
What is expected of me as a member?
- Attend mandatory biweekly General Committee Meetings on Thursday nights at 7 p.m.*
- Attend weekly subcommittee meetings on Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. and work with your subcommittee to organize programs/events
* We will work with class scheduling conflicts
What is the cost of being in ALOT?
To ensure that you are given quality leadership development opportunities, dues are $90. A payment plan can be worked out as necessary.
This goes toward our retreat, a committee t-shirt, and other fees. We offer optional apparel items throughout the year, and a few events require ticket purchases for attendance.

Note: It is the policy of the MSC to grant equal opportunity to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or national origin. To deny one’s contribution to our efforts because he or she is a member of a marginalized group is an injustice not only to the individual but to the MSC and Texas A&M, as well. It is our intent and desire that equal opportunity is provided to all in selections, awards, review processes, and all other privileges.
