MSC FISH Vice Chair

Thank you for your interest in applying to become the MSC Freshmen in Service and Hosting (FISH) Vice-Chair for 2025-26. The following contains important information regarding the application and selection process, so please read carefully. 

Please include the following in your completed application: 

Cover Letter: Provide a cover letter explaining why you want this position and how your previous accomplishments will contribute to your success (should be limited to one page). 

Resume: Provide a resume detailing the experiences which you feel have helped prepare you for the Vice-Chair position. Be sure to include all significant involvement, activities, leadership positions, and awards. Please include your overall GPR. 

Responses to Application Questions: Thoroughly answer the questions provided. 

Application Deadline: Applications are due on getinvolved.tamu.edu by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5th. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. 

Interviews: Information regarding interviews will be sent out soon after applications are due. Interviews will be business casual. 

 

Job Duties: 

● Attend and plan all necessary meetings (as seen in the table below) 

● Alternates with chair to plan curriculum for staff meetings 

● Make important decisions along with the chair for the betterment of FISH 

● Overseeing and facilitating work being done by Executives, Assistant Directors, and freshmen members along with the chair 

● Keeping staff accountable for upholding the mission of FISH through this work 

● Make important decisions and run meetings when the chair cannot be present 

● Works with chair to monitor and upkeep the budget throughout the fiscal year 

● Leads executive team in monitoring inventory of supplies throughout the year 

● Reserve rooms for all FISH activities 

● Uphold and monitor policies of MSC FISH in staff and freshmen members along with the chair
