Director

This position is closed.

General Overview

Thank you for your interest in the 2023 MSC J. Wayne Stark Northeast Tour. The purpose of this trip is to allow approximately 20 top Texas A&M junior, senior, and graduate students to visit some of the nation’s most outstanding and prestigious business and law schools in Chicago, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. We will depart Saturday, January 7, 2023, and return Tuesday, January 17, 2023 (you will miss the first day of spring semester). We will visit the University of Chicago, Northwestern, Yale, Harvard, New York University, Columbia University, and the University of Pennsylvania. This trip will afford you the opportunity to visit with the recruiting administrators and current students of the schools, as well as network with former students at various receptions and events. You will also be able to observe actual law and business classes and tour the campuses and cities.

Qualifications

One of the major qualifications of this trip concerns your Grade Point Ratio; we consider applicants who meet the admissions requirements of the institutions we are visiting. We expect students to have an overall GPR of at least 3.4, or in the last 60 hours taken. Student leadership and extracurricular involvement will also be a large factor as we determine the participants of this trip. The cost of the trip is $1,300, plus between $300-$700 in personal spending money.

Costs

The $1,300 is due in two equal installments. The first installment is due Monday, November 7, 2022, and the remainder by Monday, December 5, 2022. Any discounts or financial aid will be applied to the second payment. Financial assistance is available on a need basis. Please contact Rick Greig at stark@msc.tamu.edu for more information on financial assistance. Tickets purchased in your name will not be refundable if you decide to cancel your participation. Complete applications, including a recommendation form, must be submitted by 11:59PM, Sunday, October 2, 2022.
