  1. Attend weekly Executive team meetings (Day/Time To Be Decided) and General Committee meetings (Wednesdays at 7:00 pm)
  2. Work other events to support the MSC Visual Arts Committee when relevant to your Executive position (member recruitment events, gallery installations, receptions, meetings with artists, and more).
  3. Be a supportive, welcoming and active member of the MSC Visual Arts Committee Team.
  4. Demonstrate the values of Texas A&M University and the MSC whenever they are representing MSC Visual Arts Committee
  5. Contribute content to the fall and spring VAC newsletters.

The following positions are available:

Marketing Executive: The Marketing Executive is responsible for all of the MSC Visual Arts Committee's social media pages and website (vac.tamu.edu), including graphic design, video production, planning social media posts, and building the virtual exhibit with the 360 camera and Kuula account.

Graphics Executive: The Graphics Executive is responsible for creating all printed graphics for the Reynolds Gallery and MSC Visual Arts Committee operations. This includes designing flyers, signs, banners, and logos, as well as the annual member shirts. Access to Adobe Illustrator is preferred, but not required.

Gallery Director Executive: The Gallery Director is responsible for coordinating the exhibition schedule and exhibition design of the Reynolds Gallery. The Gallery Director works directly with artists and must be available to volunteer some weekends when work in the Reynolds Gallery is required. Some use of tools such as hammers, drills, ladders, and paint rollers will be expected, but no prior experience is needed. The Gallery Director also completes the administrative task of completing Get Involved proposals for each exhibit.

Aggie Frame of Mind Executive: The Aggie Frame of Mine (AFOM) Executive is responsible for coordinating the exhibition schedule of the Aggie Frame of Mind photo wall (located on the 2nd floor of the Memorial Student Center adjacent to the Bethancourt Ballroom). This includes contacting organizations to request photos, reviewing submissions for quality and resolution, and formatting the image files to fit the frames.

External Development Executive: The External Development Executive is responsible for writing and distributing media announcements about Reynolds Gallery events to local radio, TV, and print media outlets. This position also communicates with professors and community artists when guest speakers or judges are needed. This position is the main point of contact for former MSC Visual Arts Committee members. At times, the External Development Executive might need to write Get Involved Program Proposals if they organize outreach events.

Committee Development: The Committee Development Executive coordinates every general member meeting activity and manages the member roster and applications  in Get Involved. This position also maintains the VAC’s art supply closet and shops for items as needed, and invites TAMU faculty to speak or lead workshops at General Committee Meetings. This position also serves as the SOFC Treasurer for the committee and writes Get Involved Proposals as needed, if they organize recruitment events or other activities for non-members.
