The MSC Wiley Lecture Series presents Main Program 2025, “Defending Democracy: Resisting the Autocratic Wave.” The lecture will feature former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy, former Supreme Allied Commander Europe General (ret.) Wesley Clark, and former U.S. Under Secretary of Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights Uzra Zeya and is moderated by John Sherman '92, the Dean of the Bush School of Public Service. This program will examine the recent global trend of democratic backsliding and examine how the United States can implement policy to uphold freedom abroad through moderated discussion with our distinguished panelists.
