There are 6 executive positions, each with their own unique functions that contribute to the success of MSC Wiley. Here is each one with the description of the certain duties and tasks you may be asked to take on:

MAIN PROGRAM DIRECTOR:
Select topic and speakers; complete necessary paperwork for speaker and program approval; work with the Chair to procure speakers and maintain periodic contact with speaker agencies; approach friends of Wiley to write letters of recommendation; obtain letters of recommendation from key administrators and organizations; create speaker packets; arrange any speaking engagements for speakers while on campus (i.e. classes or organizations); Work with Chair to present program proposal to Program Advancement Team (PAT). At the end of their tenure, the director must prepare and update transition materials for successor. 

SYMPOSIA DIRECTOR:
Plan and coordinate two fall programs, one fall constitution day symposia, and two symposia in the spring; identify relevant topics and current speakers on the topic in order to create program proposals; work with the Chair and Advisor to procure speakers and maintain contact with them; work closely with other organizations and departments to find co-programming opportunities; conduct post-program evaluations; arrange any other speaking engagements for speakers while on campus (i.e. classes or organizations); arrange all logistical items
for the speakers; reserve rooms for programs; develop and execute program itineraries; work closely with Marketing in order to provide them with essential information in a timely manner. At the end of their tenure, the director must prepare and update transition materials for successor. 

MARKETING DIRECTOR:
Advertisement of all Wiley programs via print and digital media (presentations, emails, flyers, social media etc.); publicize Wiley when there are not upcoming programs; develop all printed materials for Wiley programs (flyers, program booklets, etc.); establish and maintain Wiley website; communicate with other
Wiley subcommittees to create program marketing materials; prepare and update transition materials for successor. Also communicate with MSC Marketing Communications team in order to design material for the Main Program. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Knowledge of Canva is preferred. Develop complete marketing plan for all programs. At the end of their tenure, the director must prepare and update transition materials for successor. 

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR:
Responsible for recruiting and retention efforts; plan a fall and a spring retreat to develop members as professional leaders; secure speakers to engage members on foreign policy topics, career paths, and professional development, such as resumes, dinner etiquette, and a reception workshop; carry out administrative duties such as ordering t-shirts and nametags. At the end of their tenure, the director must prepare and update transition materials for successor. 

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR:
Achieve fundraising goals in cooperation with Contributor Relations Director; train subcommittee members; identify new prospects; develop strategies to approach more foundations and corporations; tailor fundraising materials for specific grant and sponsorship needs; coordinate representation of corporate sponsorship with Advisor and Chair. Develop and maintain database on contributors. Create Development Plan for the 2023-2024 year. At the end of their tenure, the director must prepare and update transition materials for successor. 

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR: 

Develop and execute program itinerary; plan, coordinate, and reserve rooms, plan receptions; handle all ticket sales (MSC Box Office or Marketplace); handle all speaker accommodations, prepare all set up for day of program (stage set up, flowers, seating arrangements for contributors); secure dinner host as well as event space and menu items; design and prepare all invitations for student leaders, administrators, contributors, and faculty and university heads; work closely with Chair, Advisor and Main Program Director on handling speakers times on itinerary; and conduct itinerary meeting for entire committee on program week. Operations Director would also coordinate contributor arrangements such as managing VIP seating arrangements of contributors on the day of Main Program. At the end of their tenure, the director must prepare and update transition materials for successor.
