Job Summary for VP of Culture (VPC)
The Vice President of Culture facilitates events for community-building and outreach and raises awareness on diversity topics through educational pieces. The Vice Presidents of Culture also completes any tasks delegated from the Executive Vice President of Diversity. This includes coordinating / being delegated topics for Diversity Program Assemblies (DPAs). This position is expected to represent the MSCC at various functions and events at Texas A&M as assigned.
Job Summary for VP of Logistics (VPL)
The Vice President of Logistics conducts membership management for the MSCC and aids MSC committees with Get Involved implementation. The Vice President of Logistics also completes any tasks delegated from the Executive Vice President of Diversity. This includes coordinating / being delegated topics for Diversity Program Assemblies (DPAs). This position is expected to represent the MSCC at various functions and events at Texas A&M as assigned.
Job Summary for VP of Transitions (VPT)
The VP of Transitions oversees the transitions process of MSC Officer teams. Specific responsibilities include the coordination of MSC Annual Awards, organizational structure of committees, passbacks, bylaws/policy guides, and roster updates. VP of Transitions shall also collect recruitment timelines of all MSC Committees so that the MSCC can assist with marketing via the MSCC Instagram, with chief student leader stakeholders on campus, etc. The Vice President of Transitions also completes any tasks delegated from the Executive Vice President of Diversity. This includes coordinating / being delegated topics for Diversity Program Assemblies (DPAs). This position is expected to represent the MSCC at various functions and events at Texas A&M as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- One year of MSCC experience or any collegiate leadership equivalent.
Required MSC Council Officer Responsibilities:
- Represent the MSC Council: As a student leader in the MSC Council, your actions are a direct reflection and representation of the organization and our values. Committee Chairs have the responsibility of directing their committee’s programs and goals to ensure alignment with those of the MSC Council.
- Alignment with the MSC Programs mission: MSC Programs will prioritize support for programs, experiences, and student leadership opportunities that reflect and align with its mission of engaging students in providing purposefully designed campus programs and service opportunities that prepare them to be global leaders.
- Attend Weekly Monday Night Meetings: When creating your academic schedule, please be mindful of your requirement to attend Program Assembly meetings every Monday night at 6pm.
- Complete the full Academic Year: MSC Officer positions are meant to be performed for the full academic year including the Summer.
- Attend Leadership Launch & Leadership Refresher: Every year the MSCC hosts two leadership development opportunities in April and August respectively.
- Understand the Student-Staff Partnership: Each committee is assigned an advisor by MSC Programs. Through that advisor, MSC Programs and the MSC Council are committed to strong student/staff partnerships and built upon the idea that there is mutuality in teaching and learning and that advisors and students see each other as a resource; each group offering what it uniquely can provide.

- This is a new position focused on committee-wide event planning for the MSCC (VPC)
- Recommended a team to assist with event planning responsibilities (VPC)
- This position was formed from the old Vice President of Organizational Diversity position, but focuses specifically on Get Involved and MSC Officer selections. (VPL)
- This position does not ensure Get Involved roster accuracy for MSC committees (VPL)
- Previously the HR Resource Director, this position is now a part of the MSCC Diversity team. (VPT)
- This position will oversee roster updates for the MSCC in Get Involved (VPT)
- Recommended a team to assist with responsibilities (VPT)
