Job Summary

The Vice Presidents of Diversity conduct membership management, facilitate events for community-building and outreach, raise awareness on diversity topics, and/or manage the MSCC diversity training requirement. The Vice Presidents of Diversity also complete any tasks delegated from the Executive Vice President of Diversity. This includes coordinating / being delegated topics for Diversity Program Assemblies (DPAs). This position is expected to represent the MSCC at various functions and events at Texas A&M as assigned.

Job Duties

Member Management
  • Works with MSCC (Resource Directors/Teams), Abbott, SCONA, Aggie Cinema, Town Hall, VAC, FLC, WBAC, Wiley
    • Facilitates Officer Informational Meetings (November/January)
    • Learns all aspects of Get Involved for implementation and assistance to committees
    • Implements all aspects of the MSCC selection process
DPAs
  • Delegated DPA topics by the EVPD regarding Diversity team business and trainings for Get Involved, MSCC Selections Process, Implicit Bias, and other evolving topics as identified.
Social Media
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Resource team to create post relating to diversity on the MSCC Instagram
MSC Meet-Up
  • Organize and lead a semesterly tabling event to raise awareness of the MSC Council, its committees, and resource teams, while recruiting new members

    • Facilitates Officer Informational Meetings (November/January)

    • Implements all aspects of the MSCC selection process
DPAs
  • Delegated DPA topics by the EVPD regarding Diversity team business and trainings for Get Involved, MSCC Selections Process, Implicit Bias, and other evolving topics as identified.
Diversity Trainings
  • Oversee the MSCC diversity training requirement for all committees, offering guidance and resources as needed
SPOcials
  • Organize and lead a semesterly social event in the Student Programs Office (SPO) to foster connections between committees and enhance community engagement across the organization
