MSCC Membership Team Vice President
Job Summary & Duties - Vice President of Community
The Vice President of Community facilitates events for community-building and outreach and raises awareness on membership topics through educational pieces. The Vice Presidents of Community also completes any tasks delegated from the Executive Vice President of Membership. This includes coordinating / being delegated topics for Membership Program Assemblies (MPAs). This position is expected to represent the MSCC at various functions and events at Texas A&M as assigned.
- M-PA: Works with VPs to create topics for Membership team business, trainings and/or other evolving topics as identified. Each member of team should present at M-PA as a content expert.
- MSCC Meet-Up: Organize and lead a semesterly tabling event to raise awareness of the MSC Council, its committees, and resource teams, while recruiting new members
- SPOcials: Organize and lead a semesterly social event in the Student Programs Office (SPO) to foster connections between committees and enhance community engagement across the organization
- MSCC Annual Awards: Organize and lead the MSC Annual Awards
Job Summary & Duties - VP of Transitions
The VP of Transitions aids MSCC committees with Get Involved implementation. Specific responsibilities include the coordination, organizational structure of committees, passbacks, bylaws/policy guides, and roster updates. VP of Transitions shall also collect recruitment timelines of all MSC Committees so that the MSCC can assist with marketing via the MSCC Instagram, with chief student leader stakeholders on campus, etc. The Vice President of Transitions also completes any tasks delegated from the Executive Vice President of Membership. This includes coordinating / being delegated topics for Membership Program Assemblies (MPAs). This position is expected to represent the MSCC at various functions and events at Texas A&M as assigned.

- Member Management for MSCC Committees:
- Becomes content expert related to Get Involved member management to assist committees
- Implements all aspects of the MSCC selection process for chair positions
- Facilitates Chair Informational (January)
- Ensures that membership rosters are updated for Demographics Dashboard (March)
- Collect committee recruitment timelines from Chairs
- Collect committee organizational charts from Chairs
- Ensure MSCC committees have proper bylaws/policy guides
Minimum Requirements
- One year of MSCC experience or any collegiate leadership equivalent.
Required MSC Council Officer Responsibilities:
- Represent the MSC Council: As a student leader in the MSC Council, your actions are a direct reflection and representation of the organization and our values. Committee Chairs have the responsibility of directing their committee’s programs and goals to ensure alignment with those of the MSC Council.
- Alignment with the MSC Programs mission: MSC Programs will prioritize support for programs, experiences, and student leadership opportunities that reflect and align with its mission of engaging students in providing purposefully designed campus programs and service opportunities that prepare them to be global leaders.
- Attend Weekly Monday Night Meetings: When creating your academic schedule, please be mindful of your requirement to attend Program Assembly meetings every Monday night from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
- Complete the full Academic Year: MSC Officer positions are meant to be performed for the full academic year including the Summer.
- Attend Mandatory Leadership Launch & Leadership Refresher: Every year the MSCC hosts two leadership development meetings in April and August respectively.
- Understand the Student-Staff Partnership: Each committee is assigned an advisor by MSC Programs. Through that advisor, MSC Programs and the MSC Council are committed to strong student/staff partnerships and built upon the idea that there is mutuality in teaching and learning and that advisors and students see each other as a resource; each group offering what it uniquely can provide.
