Description

The Lavender Graduation Celebration is a celebration that recognizes and affirms LGBTQ+ students and allies while acknowledging their achievements and contributions to the university.

On April 28th, 2024, at 1 pm, the Queer Empowerment Council (QEC) will host a reception for all 2024 LGBTQ+ and ally graduates in MSC Bethancourt Ballrooms D&E with refreshments for graduates and guests. During this reception, students who RSVPed for the event will receive their Lavender Graduation stole which can be worn during graduation ceremonies.

If you are a student graduating in the 2024 calendar year (May, August, December) and would like to participate in QEC's Lavender Graduation Celebration, please RSVP no later April 22, 2024 at tx.ag/LavGrad2024.

Queer Empowerment Council

Queer Empowerment Council aims to unite the LGBTQ+ organizations on campus and work together to act as a resource for LGBTQ+ students at TAMU. By coming together, we can help our organizations come together and empower the LGBTQ+ community here.
