Residential Housing Association

Founded in 1972, the Residential Housing Association (RHA) at Texas A&M University–College Station has proudly served as the official voice of on-campus residents for over 50 years. Representing more than 12,000 students, RHA is deeply rooted in Aggie tradition and is committed to enhancing the residential experience through leadership, community, advocacy, and programming. As a student-led organization, RHA works to improve life in campus housing by supporting Community Councils, advocating for improved housing, dining, wellness, and campus services, and partnering with university staff to influence important policies. The organization also focuses on planning impactful events and leadership development opportunities, building communication and professional skills, and connecting students with regional and national leadership conferences. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or preparing to graduate, RHA offers meaningful ways to get involved, grow as a leader, and contribute to your residential community.

How to Join

All full-time, on-campus students are automatically general members of RHA—no sign-up, fees, or service hours required. To take a more active role, join your Community Council at the start of the academic year, look for election notices on the SGA Election Commission website, and check for open roles on Get Involved.
