Texas A&M University is proud to serve as the host institution for the NACURH 2026 Annual Conference, marking the first time in over a decade that we have welcomed the national residential leadership community to Aggieland. The NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls) Annual Conference is the largest student-run conference in the world, drawing thousands of student leaders, advisors, and professionals from across North America to celebrate leadership, collaboration, and the advancement of the residential experience.
Hosting this conference is not only a historic milestone for our institution but also a significant opportunity to showcase our traditions, excellence, and innovation to a nationwide audience. For student leaders, serving on the NACURH 2026 Conference Team provides an unmatched opportunity to develop project management, communication, event planning, and professional leadership skills — all while contributing meaningfully to a high-impact, large-scale collegiate event.
Position: Assessment Chair
The Assessment Chair leads the efforts to measure, evaluate, and report on the overall effectiveness of the NACURH 2026 Conference. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the planning team can make data-informed decisions and that future conferences can benefit from clearly documented feedback and lessons learned.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working with surveys, data visualization tools, and reporting platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and administer pre-conference, mid-conference, and post-conference surveys to delegates, advisors, volunteers, and presenters.
- Analyze survey results and prepare executive summaries highlighting key takeaways.
- Work with each committee to identify specific areas for targeted assessment.
- Support chairs in collecting real-time feedback during events and workshops.
- Collaborate with the Vice Conference Chair on the development of impact reports and strategic improvements.
- Maintain confidentiality and anonymity in data handling to ensure honest participant responses.
- Share assessment findings in visual formats for presentations and reports.
- Archive assessment documentation for future host institutions and NACURH leadership.
