Texas A&M University is proud to serve as the host institution for the NACURH 2026 Annual Conference, marking the first time in over a decade that we have welcomed the national residential leadership community to Aggieland. The NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls) Annual Conference is the largest student-run conference in the world, drawing thousands of student leaders, advisors, and professionals from across North America to celebrate leadership, collaboration, and the advancement of the residential experience.
Hosting this conference is not only a historic milestone for our institution but also a significant opportunity to showcase our traditions, excellence, and innovation to a nationwide audience. For student leaders, serving on the NACURH 2026 Conference Team provides an unmatched opportunity to develop project management, communication, event planning, and professional leadership skills — all while contributing meaningfully to a high-impact, large-scale collegiate event.
Position: Records Chair
The Records Chair is responsible for maintaining clear documentation of conference planning, decisions, and materials for internal use and future reference. This position supports transparency, continuity, and historical preservation.
This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organized, and consistent.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed records of all conference meetings, decisions, and timelines.
- Create and archive official documents such as planning reports, meeting minutes, and committee updates.
- Organize shared drives and file systems for easy access by all chairs.
- Collect and preserve conference assets including branding, forms, and delegate materials.
- Support knowledge transfer by compiling documentation for future host institutions.
- Work with Assessment Chair to ensure survey and data storage compliance.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to scheduling, contact lists, and communications.
