The NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls) Annual Conference is the largest student-run conference in the world, drawing thousands of student leaders, advisors, and professionals from across North America to celebrate leadership, collaboration, and the advancement of the residential experience.

Position: Housing/Facilities Chair
The Housing and Facilities Chair ensures that all attendees have appropriate, comfortable, and clearly assigned housing accommodations for the duration of the NACURH 2026 Annual Conference. This role is crucial to coordinating with university housing partners, assigning rooms, and addressing all logistical needs related to on-campus residence halls and conference facilities.
The Chair works closely with the Registration Chair to match housing assignments to delegate information and collaborates with campus departments to ensure all residence hall policies, access logistics, and facility concerns are managed effectively. This role requires strong logistical coordination skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with university housing and facilities departments to secure residence halls and meeting spaces for the conference.
- Develop and manage a housing assignment process based on registration data and delegate preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of room assignments, accessibility needs, and building access requirements.
- Ensure keys, cards, or digital access credentials are distributed and collected efficiently.
- Serve as the main point of contact for facilities-related issues during the conference, including maintenance or emergency concerns.
- Conduct walkthroughs and inspections of housing and meeting areas before and after the conference.
- Support volunteer training for move-in/move-out and housing check-in assistance.
- Work with Risk Management to ensure all housing assignments are safe.
- Collaborate on signage and wayfinding plans for all housing and facility areas.
- Prepare post-conference reports on housing occupancy, facility usage, and incident tracking.
