Texas A&M University is proud to serve as the host institution for the NACURH 2026 Annual Conference, marking the first time in over a decade that we have welcomed the national residential leadership community to Aggieland. The NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls) Annual Conference is the largest student-run conference in the world, drawing thousands of student leaders, advisors, and professionals from across North America to celebrate leadership, collaboration, and the advancement of the residential experience.
Hosting this conference is not only a historic milestone for our institution but also a significant opportunity to showcase our traditions, excellence, and innovation to a nationwide audience. For student leaders, serving on the NACURH 2026 Conference Team provides an unmatched opportunity to develop project management, communication, event planning, and professional leadership skills — all while contributing meaningfully to a high-impact, large-scale collegiate event.
Position: Transportation Chair
The Transportation Chair ensures the safe, timely, and efficient movement of NACURH 2026 attendees, presenters, and supplies. This includes airport shuttles, on-campus navigation, and vendor delivery logistics.
This role requires strong coordination, problem-solving, and a proactive mindset.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and operate airport shuttles for incoming and departing delegates.
- Coordinate on-campus transportation routes, vehicle access, and signage.
- Work with university transportation services and rental companies as needed.
- Develop contingency plans for weather or traffic-related delays.
- Communicate clear transportation schedules and expectations to delegates.
- Support other chairs with transport needs for equipment or off-site events.
- Train volunteers and drivers on routes, accessibility needs, and safety.
- Track transportation metrics and document feedback for future improvements.
