What is FEST about?
The mission of FEST is to instill leadership skills and qualities within freshmen in the STEM field through professional, social, and service events. FEST looks to develop lasting relationships among the members and staff in the organization that continue past a member's involvement in the organization. FEST hopes to become your home away from home!
- FEST is composed of 50 freshmen members, 12 sophomore staff members, 22 bigs, and 4 junior executive members
FEST Requirements
- Dues for this organization will be $225, which can be paid all at once or in increments. If the money is an issue we also provide scholarships.
- This due is a one-time fee that will cover your involvement for the entire year! The dues provide funding and access to Fall and Spring T-Shirts, Fall Retreat, Spring Retreat to a major city, end of the year banquet, Holiday Events, social events, and much much more.
- FEST will hold meetings every week on Wednesday nights from 7-8 PM in Rudder Tower with the entire FLO, along with weekly meetings between freshmen members and their respective committees (time is decided within the committee). There is also a community service requirement that is provided multiple times throughout the semester by FEST. Social events are also held weekly.
- Freshmen must be enrolled in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Major.

- Blaze Profit Share - Wednesday, September 4th at 5 PM At Blaze Pizza In Century Square
- FEST Open House - Friday, September 6th from 6-8 PM Location at the Aggie Park Pavilion
- Join us for a relaxing night of sports and hanging out! Feel free to grab dinner and bring it with you to enjoy a picnic and great conversations with FEST staff! Get the chance to know us as a group, we want to meet you! Make sure to bring your own water.
- Zachry Meet n' Greet - Tuesday, September 10th - Thursday, September 12th from 12-4 PM Location at Zachry Engineering Complex - exact room number on website and Instagram
- Hang out with us to study, play games, or ask questions! We will have members in Zachry every day this week so feel free to join in on the shenanigans!
- Application Deadline - Friday, September 13th at 11:59 PM No applications will be accepted after this time
- Interview Notification - Monday, September 16th at Noon Watch for this in order to select an interview time that works for your schedule
- Interviews - Wednesday, September 18th - Friday, September 22nd Times and locations will be shown on interview ticket
- Selection Notification - Friday, September 27th
- IF ACCEPTED - Mark your calendars - Instructions on the below events will be given out at a later date.
- Initial Hangout - Monday, September 30th at 6 PM
- Initial Retreat - Saturday, October 12th at Noon - Sunday, October 13th at 9 AM
