Student Technician (Application Developer)
Position Description
Technology Services is seeking students technicians in support of the Division of Student Affairs. This position will provide assistance to full-time software application developers in the development of custom PHP applications.

Duties:
Work closely with architects, senior developers, business analysts and development teams for design, development, testing, implementation, and support of application projects. Perform detailed application design, coding and unit/integration/performance testing.
Eligibility:
Technology Services encourages all eligible students to apply who expect to continue student status at Texas A&M University through at least May 2026. Eligibility requires the applicant to be in good academic standing with the University, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrate a positive work ethic.
Availability:
Prefer availability to work in College Station during the Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 terms.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Prior programming experience
- PHP programming (if graduating within two years)
Preferred Experience:
- Laravel Framework knowledge
- Git source version control
- Working knowledge of MSSQL or MySQL
- Development in formal project management environment
