To provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising; to encourage advertising professionalism through advertising education; to develop the individual abilities of its members; and to promote fellowship and free exchange of ideas.

All student organizations must be open in membership unless otherwise permitted under applicable state or federal law (20 U.S.C. § 1681(a)(6)(A); 34 C.F.R. § 106.14(a) for reference) through specific University exemption.
