Aggie Women in Construction

Founded: 2016
Texas A&M University (College Station, TX)

Aggie Women in Construction (AWIC) is a student organization at Texas A&M University that supports students who are interested in careers in the construction industry, especially women. The organization helps members grow professionally by hosting guest speakers, jobsite tours, service events, and workshops that prepare students for internships and full-time careers. In addition to professional development, the organization creates a supportive community where members can build friendships, mentorships, and confidence as they prepare to enter a traditionally male dominated industry. Through its events and activities, AWIC encourages more women to pursue careers in construction while helping students grow both personally and professionally.
