McAllen Border Pre-Med Society

Founded: 2020
Higher Education Center at McAllen (McAllen, TX)

The purpose shall be to allow students from the Texas A&M Higher Education Center at McAllen to learn about and explore diverse health-related professions. The Valley is an extremely underserved area with a significant need for dedicated health professionals. Through our association, members will have the opportunity to engage with and learn from health experts across the region. They will participate in organized volunteer work, build meaningful connections with others who share similar interests, and gain access to valuable information and resources to prepare them for applications to professional health programs, including but not limited to medicine, nursing, public health, and allied health fields.

All student organizations must be open in membership unless otherwise permitted under applicable state or federal law (20 U.S.C. § 1681(a)(6)(A); 34 C.F.R. § 106.14(a) for reference) through specific University exemption. Please contact SOLAD for more information related to open-membership exemption at Texas A&M University or consult the Student Organization Manual.
