The purpose of the Historical Society is: 1. To promote the study of history. 2. To interest students in history as a career. 3. To impart an understanding of the development and purpose of principles, research, and field methodology in the historical arena.
All student organizations must be open in membership unless otherwise permitted under applicable state or federal law (20 U.S.C. § 1681(a)(6)(A); 34 C.F.R. § 106.14(a) for reference) through specific University exemption.
