
Vice President of Marketing
The Vice President of Marketing for the International Student Association (ISA) plays a vital role in shaping the organization's public image and fostering cultural awareness through dynamic, engaging communication strategies. This position oversees all official ISA communications, upholds branding guidelines, and collaborates with fellow officers to create visually compelling reports and marketing materials. The VP of Marketing drives the ISA's online presence by managing a consistent and impactful social media plan, developing high-visibility campaigns that celebrate cultural diversity, and ensuring the ISA website remains current and informative. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented leader passionate about cross-cultural engagement and strategic outreach.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly Officers' Meetings
- Attend weekly Executive Team Meetings
- Approve and facilitate ISA Communications
- 10-15 hours per week time commitment, comfortably spread out for weekdays after school work.
- May require additional time during major events
Required Skills:
- Multitasking & Project Management: Manage multiple digital media campaigns at once and track their effectiveness through clear reporting.
- Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate smoothly with a large team and take direction with professionalism and positivity.
- Detail-oriented: Ensure accuracy and clarity in all reports and official ISA communications.
- Digital & Technical Fluency: Understand the basics of website structure and upkeep, and feel confident using social media tools.
- Design Fundamentals: Use tools like Canva to create clean, consistent graphics that align with ISA branding.
- Willingness to Learn: Be open to new tools, feedback, and growing with the role.
Preferred Skills: These are not required, but having them is a huge plus
- Leadership in team settings:
- Cross-committee collaboration: proactively work with the different committees within the ISA and MSC Committees to coordinate on high-impact projects
- Coaching: helping students grow in their marketing careers
- Content and Creative execution:
- Multimedia production: beyond simple graphics, creating basic video editing and visual content skills
- Persuasive copywriting: strong writing that’s adaptable for Search Engine Optimization, email, social media, and campaigns
- Technical Tool Proficiency:
- Proficiency in WordPress, Avada, and basic HTML, CSS styling
- Proficiency in email marketing tools and analytics tools
