The Latinx Graduate Student Association (LGSA) is an academic, professional, and social organization committed to the recruitment and retention, and the academic/professional development of Latinx graduate students and Latinx allies, as well as to the solicitation of support to foster a nurturing environment for the Latinx community at Texas A&M University. LGSA strives to accomplish this mission through the following: establishing and implementing programs and workshops for the purposes of networking; fostering the development of positive relationships between students, faculty, and staff; and enhancing the graduate experience of Texas A&M students; Coordinating efforts to promote and encourage the retention and recruitment of Latinx students and Latinx research in graduate programs at the university. Identifying and utilizing information and resources to effectively carry out the LGSA mission and enable Latinx graduate students and Latinx allies to be successful at Texas A&M University.

Intake: Open membership Ongoing intake (year-round)

Dues (scholarship may be available)

All student organizations must be open in membership unless otherwise permitted under applicable state or federal law (20 U.S.C. § 1681(a)(6)(A); 34 C.F.R. § 106.14(a) for reference) through specific University exemption.
