Texas A&M Recon Company

Founded: 1974
Texas A&M University (College Station, TX)
Texas A&M Recon Company is a student organization that offers Aggies a unique course designed to both increase the physical fitness of members and to familiarize them to basic reconnaissance and infantry tactics. Our training methods are based off of the US Marine Corps Basic Reconnaissance Course (BRC), focused on developing candidates into mentally tough and physically fit leaders prepared to meet and excel in the future challenges of Special Forces training. Candidates, or "Green-shirts," will be given the opportunity to become familiar with the basic skills required to pass through the BRC. The skills taught will have an emphasis in reconnaissance (land and water), small unit tactics, navigation, close quarters battle, and field applications.
