Residential Housing Association

RHA General Assembly

Description

Looking to make a meaningful impact on campus life? The General Assembly (GA) is the central decision-making forum of the Texas A&M Residential Housing Association, where leadership, collaboration, and community come together.

Held every other week and facilitated by the RHA Executive Board, GA convenes Community Council representatives, executive leaders, and any interested on-campus residents to discuss key housing topics, review funding proposals, and shape initiatives that affect over 12,000 students living on campus.

Each meeting offers:

  • Timely updates from the RHA Executive Board and Community Councils
  • Insightful guest speakers from campus and the local community
  • Engaging discussions on issues, legislation, and event planning
  • Opportunities to share your voice and represent your community
  • Complimentary meals or refreshments in a welcoming space

Don’t miss out—GAs are where we make great things happen!

Residential Housing Association

Founded in 1972, the Residential Housing Association (RHA) at Texas A&M University–College Station proudly serves as the official voice for over 12,000 on-campus residents. For more than 50 years, RHA has been rooted in Aggie tradition, committed to enhancing the residential experience through leadership, community building, advocacy, and impactful programming. As a student-led organization, RHA supports and empowers Community Councils, advocates for improvements in campus housing, dining, wellness, and student services, and works closely with university staff to shape policies that affect residential life. Through leadership development, large-scale events, and connections to regional and national leadership conferences, RHA provides students with opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Whether you're new to campus or a seasoned student leader, RHA offers a meaningful way to get involved, make your voice heard, and leave your mark on the on-campus community.

How to Get Involved

All full-time, living on-campus students are automatically general members of RHA—no sign-up, fees, or service hours required. To take a more active role, join your Community Council at the start of the academic year, look for postings about openings in the RHA Executive Board, and vote for RHA President in the spring.
