Description

At this session, you'll discover:

  • What Community Councils do and how they support your hall/apartment
  • Leadership roles available this year (President, VP, and more)
  • How Community Councils connect to the larger Residential Housing Association (RHA)

Whether you’re looking to plan social events, improve your building, or grow as a leader, there’s a place for you on your Community Council. Come ask questions, meet current leaders, and find out how to make your mark on campus life.

All on-campus residents are welcome. Leadership starts just steps from your room—see how you can get involved!

----------------------------------------------- WHY SHOULD YOU GET INVOLVED -----------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------- ABOUT THE RESIDENTIAL HOUSING ASSOCIATION -------------------------------------------

Founded in August 1972 through the Civilian Student Council, the Residential Housing Association (RHA) at Texas A&M University–College Station stands as the official governing body representing more than 12,000 living-on-campus residents in our halls and apartments. For more than fifty years, building on the Council’s legacy of advocacy for students, RHA has championed student leadership, fostered rich and fulfilling communities, and upheld the enduring traditions of Aggieland. With a legacy rooted in service and innovation, RHA continues to shape the residential experience through advocacy, programming, and development opportunities that empower every Aggie to thrive.

As a student-led organization sponsored by the Department of Residence Life, RHA empowers Community Councils, championing the advancement of housing, dining, wellness, and student services through advocacy, and working in deliberate partnership with university administration to enhance the daily lived experience of residents. Through structured leadership training, large-scale institutional events, and representation at the local, regional, and national levels, RHA equips Aggies with the capacity to lead, govern, and shape the future of the campus community.

Whether you’re new to Aggieland or an experienced student leader, RHA is your chance to get involved, make your voice heard, and leave your mark on campus. Get involved with your hall's Community Council, go to one of our General Assemblies, or apply to the RHA Executive Board!
